Here Comes the Son-Baby Shower Theme!

Throwing a baby shower can be stressful from what food to provide, how to decorate, what games to play etc. I have hosted four baby showers over the past two years and Here Comes the Son has been one of my favorite themes. Here are some ideas to throw a successful baby shower.

Food: We decided to provide brunch foods. If you are looking to reduce the amount of cooking and food prep you have to do as a host I think a brunch theme is best because you can go with Bagels, Muffins, Donuts, fruit etc.and then a few select items for lunch to cook. Below are some ideas that I did.

Guest Book: Our mom to be was doing a space theme so I found a wooden moon guestbook that guests could sign wooden stars to put in the moon. It can then be hung on the wall or placed on a nightstand.

Games: I am not into the really cheesy games but one of my favorites is to come up with questions to ask the dad and then ask the mom to be to answer how she thinks the dad would.

Examples of questions:

1. Who will be the parent that says no more?

2. What part of being a mom is mom to be most excited for?

3. What is one word that best describes mom to be's mood while pregnant?

4. What will mom to be's best and worst parenting skill be?
